The Black Market Dreamerz was founded four years ago by the Tortured Jester. "I've always striven to breakdown the barricades many would like to build around artistic formats. Though I wouldn't reccomend it, I dropped out of college years ago to pusue my own brand of writiting that I felt textbook dogma restricted. In the process, through trial and error, I discovered that my muse shines in silence and a place far beyond the forms of the mind."
Soulful, chilling, unique and powerful are some of the words used when describing the Jesters' work. " I've always said that reading TJs' work is like reading poetry from inside a volcano". Ruby Redwine.
" The deeper I got into my craft, the further i moved away from the masses. I could see my work on the bookshelves but at what price?. I couldn't compromise my art, my integrity and most importantly, the brutally honest perspective that comprised my writing. Life isn't always pretty so I wanted to share my ideas with those who could relate as well as those who would leave my words, feeling like they were not alone nor all that different from the rest of us human beings".
The Black Market Dreamerz are a group of writers who share the same vision: to achieve prosperity through a loyal following without compromising their beliefs or integrity.Although each member is their own unique individual and does not necessarily share in the same political views or ideas of the other members, each writer is driven by a singular truth: the sincerity of the imbomidable spirit manifesting the written word.
Each individual brings a unique talent and perspective to the proverbial table. Mr. Grunty, Puffnagel, Lost In a Sense are all authors who are dedicated to bringing a story to the reader that leaves them reflecting on the ways humanity explores its boundaries". Two other poets who wish to keep there identities on the down low are well-versed and eclectic. Both insightful and imaginative, always capable of leaving the page with thick brushstrokes of imagery.
" Though all the members are focused on the dream ahead, Mr. Grunty holds a special place in my heart. Together we've walked through the fire for the sake of our opinions. We've met tons of opposition from textbook thumpers and contemparary worshipers who demanded we assimalate to their way of thinking. The only stance I took really, was to create first from the heart and soul then incorporate the secondary elements of writing, ie; precise metering, word selection, syllable counting and stressing. Most sites I've been to have those who won't just write and let write but instead insist on enforcing their guidelines upon us. I don't really care too much for rules in any aspect of life. I let wisdom draw the lines. Some say rules were meant to be broken, anyways. I agree. To create something remotely unique, the guidelines must be questioned and the unknown explored. In the immortal words of Bruce Lee, Once you learn the art, forget what you've learned and just do what works for you. Or as the Buddhist put it, Once you find Buddha, kill him!.
The same can be said for the Dreamers. Once the books are closed and the pen laid to rest, the world will remember the new dimensions that were examined and chronicled by those who chose to Dream From Darker Corners. The Tortured Jester.
